Best time to visit Indonesia

  • Dry Season (March, April to September, October): This is the most popular time to visit Indonesia. The weather is generally sunny and dry, making it perfect for outdoor activities and beach vacations. The peak tourist season is from June to August, so expect more people during this period.

  • Wet Season (October, November to March, April): You can still visit many islands during wet season but be prepared for rain. There is also higher chance of getting dengue fever from mosquito bites. Always use repelents to minimize the risks. The wet season may affect travel plans, especially to volcanic areas. Many places are not accessible.

TIP: The best mobile operator is Telkomsel. You can buy simcard directly on the airport  (little bit more expensive) or from many street vendors or shops. If you are staying in Indonesia longer than 1 month, you can always go to markets and top up credit. With this credit you can buy internet packages in MyTelkomsel app. It’s really easy and it’s the cheapest option.
