Summer in Slovenia is beautiful. If you are going to the mountains, be prepared for a lot of heat. And don’t forget the sunscreen. Even at night it is quite warm here. But be prepared for slightly colder evenings, especially if you are camping in mountains. You can cool off in the Soča river in the summer. It is also the main tourist season. After summer, the country is empty and prices drop. In the summer, you can also go to the Slovenian sea to cool off.

In winter, hiking is somewhat limited. Some trails are not accessible. However, you will also find a few ski resorts here. Also make sure you have proper winter tires and possibly chains for alpine crossings.
