Spring in Iceland starts in March. It is the time when nature and wildlife come alive. With the arrival of spring comes whale watching season. The temperature is slowly rising and there is more and more daylight. In April, the snow begins to melt and the whole nature takes on a tinge of green.

The summer season is the hottest time of the year. Temperatures range from 10 to 14 °C. During the summer, there is the most daylight and it is possible to go on trips even at night, because it’s never completely dark. The most suitable months are June, July and August. However, be prepared for many tourists and increased prices for accommodation and also for car rental.

Autumn in Iceland starts at the end of August and ends in October. During autumn, there is less and less daylight and the temperature drops. There is more rain than in summer, so you need to be better prepared. The grass and moss are no longer green, rather orange and dried up. Prices for accommodation and car rental are cheaper, so you will spend less money than during the summer season.
